Karnali Yaks defend 132 to beat Janakpur Bolts by 19 runs

Karnali Yaks beat Janakpur Bolts by 19 runs on Tuesday at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. It was Match 3 of NPL Season 3, the second game of the day, and the first for both teams.

Janakpur won the toss and chose to field. Ariful Islam top-scored for Karnali with 43 off 29 balls, with four sixes, and Pawan Sarraf made 37 off 37. Deepak Dumre hit 13 off five balls and Gulshan Jha 12 off nine, but nobody else got going, and Karnali finished on 132 for 9.

Janakpur captain Harmeet Singh took three for 22 from his four overs, including a maiden. Moeen Ali took two for 19 and Rahul Yadav two for 15, both from four overs.

Janakpur all out for 113

The chase never took off. Abhishek Tiwari top-scored with 20. Moeen Ali and Harmeet Singh made 19 each, Jimmy Neesham 15 and Mayan Yadav 14.

Unish Bikram Singh Thakuri took three for 22 from his four overs and Hussain Talat three for 26, also from four overs. Nandan Yadav took two for 13 from 2.3 overs and finished it by getting Lalit Rajbanshi for the last wicket. Janakpur were all out for 113 in 19.3 overs, losing their last six wickets for 19 runs. Unish was player of the match.
